The specific weight of warm air is lighter than that of cold air. Following the laws of physics, the warm air gathers under the ceiling. Different layers of warmth arise in the room. There are only 19 ° on the floor while under the ceiling (stand on a ladder) up to 35 ° degrees (the higher the room - the greater the heat loss). So you are giving away valuable heating energy.

Ceiling fans in winter mode rotate clockwise. This setting is best used at low speed as the goal is not to create a flow of air but to gently push the warm air down in the room above the fan (i.e. at the top of the ceiling due to the rising of warm air). This is achieved by the fan sucking in air underneath (exactly the opposite of what it does counterclockwise in summer) and consequently pushing the air above it down. This works in any room and is particularly useful for objects with high ceilings, where a lot of hot air is normally lost to the top of the room.

In order to distribute the warm air slowly and steadily, a model with a low speed should be selected, optimally 50-60 rpm. A large diameter also has a positive effect on the even distribution of warm air. In winter, a DC ceiling fan can run 24 hours, it consumes between 3 and 10 watts in the slow speed and is therefore hardly noticeable in the monthly electricity bill.
